Liberty Hyde Bailey Museum

Located in the birthplace and childhood home of America’s “Father of Modern Horticulture” in South Haven, Mich., this 501(c)(3) celebrates Bailey’s life, work, philosophy, and legacy. In addition to the historic home, the museum features both permanent and rotating historical exhibitions, the world’s largest publicly accessible library collection devoted to Bailey, a series of horticultural gardens, a nature trail, and South Haven’s historic Blacksmith’s Shop. The museum’s extensive collections feature books and original manuscripts, and events celebrating Bailey’s life and works are held throughout the year. More information.
