But CALS greenhouse manager Rhoda Maurer (an essential employee helping to maintain this valuable collection) shot the opening of this video for the Expanding Your Horizons (EYH) Virtual Plant activity. (Note that in the opening, the A. konjac inflorescence is misidentified as A. titanum.)
EYH participants — 7th- to 9th-grade girls interested in exploring STEM topics — were scheduled to visit the Conservatory April 18. But rather than cancel due to the COVID-19 pandemic, EYH leaders took their program online.
